USPA NEWS -
We at Foto ReD Photographic Agency, together with photographers and journalists Roberto Magni and Daniela Comi, took part in and documented the wonderful evening dedicated to “Longevity and Well Being – Let’s take care before we have to worry.” A stimulating and well-attended event, rich in contributions of great human and cultural value, capable of addressing themes that concern not only our community but the entire contemporary world. A precious opportunity to observe how reflecting on the future can become a shared and universal commitment.
The event—carefully curated and envisioned by Ferdinando Lettieri, in collaboration with Giovanni Catrini, Councillor for Health and Welfare of the Municipality of Ozzano dell’Emilia (Bologna, Italy)—proved to be a meaningful, enlightening, and deeply relevant occasion, placing at the center a topic that concerns us all: our future.
The evening unfolded in a welcoming, thoughtful, and surprisingly engaged atmosphere, where professionals, students, citizens, and curious attendees were able to exchange views on one of the most significant challenges of our time: living longer, yes, but above all living better. The speakers guided the audience through economic, statistical, social, and human perspectives, creating an open and constructive dialogue filled with concrete insights.

The meeting highlighted how longevity is an extraordinary achievement, but also a phenomenon that requires awareness, preparation, and collective responsibility. In a rapidly aging society, well being cannot be postponed: it is an urgent necessity that calls for pausing, reflecting, and acting with foresight.
“Longevity and Well Being” was created precisely with this spirit: offering a space for authoritative, informed, and inclusive discussion, helping people understand the present and question the future with clarity. An evening designed for those who feel the need to grasp tomorrow’s challenges—starting today, and doing so together.

Who Is Ferdinando Lettieri
Ferdinando Lettieri is a Private Banker and financial professional known for his rigor, strategic vision, and deep attention to people and the entrepreneurial realities he works with. For years he has worked in the financial sector, focusing on market analysis, wealth management, and investment planning, offering concrete and personalized solutions tailored to clients’ goals and risk profiles.
One of the hallmarks of his work is his expertise in behavioral finance, the discipline that studies how emotions, perceptions, and cognitive biases influence economic decisions. Ferdinando is recognized as a true expert in this field: he helps people understand the psychological mechanisms behind financial choices and provides practical tools to manage emotions, improving decision quality.
Alongside his professional activity, he is strongly committed to financial education, organizing meetings and public events. In these settings, he makes complex concepts accessible, guiding audiences toward greater awareness and autonomy in their financial decisions.
Who Is Sergio Sorgi
Sergio Sorgi is a leading figure in Italy when it comes to well being, longevity, and quality of life. A sociologist, founder of Progetica and president of EQWA, he has long studied how people live, choose, and plan their future, with particular attention to the balance between economic, social, and emotional dimensions.
In his talk, he offered a clear, profound, and genuinely human perspective: living longer is not enough—we must learn to live better. His approach blends technical expertise with social sensitivity, providing concrete tools to understand and face the challenges of a rapidly changing society.
His ability to make complex topics accessible and to inspire sincere reflection on how we live our time makes him a valuable voice in any discussion on longevity and well being.
Who Was Padre Marella
In Bologna, Padre Marella was a familiar presence: a priest with a long white beard, a worn hat, and a smile capable of understanding everything without the need for words. He lived alongside the poor, collected donations for those in need, and never hesitated to ask for help—because for him, the dignity of the marginalized came before anything else.
He founded the Città dei Ragazzi, welcoming young people without families or in difficulty, turning charity into concrete gestures: a bed, a warm meal, a job, a real opportunity. In Bologna, he is remembered as a “street saint,” someone who did not preach from the altar but walked among the people.
Today, the Padre Marella Association continues his mission, offering support and assistance to those who need it most.
